HEXCEL R&T Applications Technology Engineer

 Hexcel is currently seeking a R&T Applications Technology Engineer for our Kent, WA, USA location.

 ·        Lead the set-up of  resin infusion capability for full size aerospace parts in Hexcel Kent, WA part manufacturing plant

·        Lead the detail planning and manufacturing process of the fabrication of aerospace composite part demonstrators made by resin infusion and other similar processes

·        Coordinate with various groups from RT (mostly based in Dublin, CA) and from production (Kent, WA) to ensure demonstrators meet or exceed quality and schedule expected by our customers. These groups will support the following activities:

·        Part design

·        Structural analysis of parts and molds

·        Mold design

·        Mold fabrication

·        Inspection and validation plan

·        Inspection and validation testing include, but not limited to  geometric inspection, NDI (UT and others as needed) , mechanical on coupons and parts as needed , chemical characterization, micro-section analysis

·        Support communication with customers in regard to project status

·        Work in a team environment to reach decisions within the guidelines and boundaries established by the company, and maintains constructive relationships with co-workers.

·        Support and ensure compliance with Hexcel’s Safety System.

·        Operate at all times in compliance with the Hexcel’s Quality System and Quality Policy.

·        Comply with Hexcel policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct.


 ·        Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) in Mechanical, Chemical or Material Science Engineering, or other technically related degree, from an accredited university AND a minimum of ten (10) years of composite material and processing experience, OR

·        Master’s Degree (M.S.) from an accredited university with at least eight (8) years composite material and processing experience.

·        Recent and prominent experience in successfully leading the development and fabrication of resin infusion parts, preferably for aerospace applications.

·        Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing

·        Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to articulate all technical matters succinctly and lucidly in oral or written form.

·        Ability to comprehend and apply principles of mathematical modeling to engineering and technical problems.

·        Demonstrated ability in using scientific thinking and logical principles to engineering problems is a must.


HEXCEL Sales Development Manager

Hexcel is currently seeking a Sales Development Manager for the Seattle WA area.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

·        Position Hexcel  in new/existing markets and applications for growth

·        Grow the business

·        Develop annual and long term forecasts

·        Customer relationships and communication

·        Customer price, terms, and contract negotiations

·        Competitor analysis

·        Identify customer and market trends and requirements


·        Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years related experience and/or training in sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience

·        Sound understanding of composite materials; sales or related experience a must

·        Strong communications, interpersonal, planning, organizational, negotiation, and decision making skills

·        Good math and analytical skills a must

·        PC knowledge in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·        Travel required (approximately 25-50%)
